Arctic Monkeys Special At The Haunt
Do you love Arctic Monkeys, the 1975 and The Stone Roses? Then take your independent indi-rock body over to The Haunt. We're dedicating our alternative club night to the legendary Arctic Monkeys. So come on over, because we bet you look good on the dancefloor.
To kick off the celebrations, we've gathered their best club bangers.
1. Fluorescent Adolescent
A clear favourite. Probably out of fear that you may, in fact, become a fluorescent adolescent. After all, it is a 'very common crisis' - so we heard. Don't worry, the only partner you need is Alex Turner.
2. Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High
Extremely relatable, but change the lyrics to "Why'd You Only Text Me When You're Drunk And Asking For A Lift". Not quite so glamarous. Also it's a lot easier to forgive a Thunderbird lookalike in a leather jacket.
3. I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor
Honestly the best chat-up line you've ever heard. Very smooth. Doesn't quite compare to "Alright luv?" does it. This song is also clear evidence that Alex Turner has never seen you on the dancefloor, because we have.. and it's not a pretty sight.
Lovable simply because it's weird. But hey, whatever helps you forget. Just a quick piece of advice, don't let anyone call you her name - period (unless you're into that kind of thing).
5. When The Sun Goes Down
Who doesn't love the sweet, familiar sound of judgement? Luckily, they sing over a far-too-loud electric guitar so that you can't work out what they're saying anyway. Just nod along and you'll be fine.
So if this view is what you've been dreaming of, but only fancy spending £4-6, then you know where to go.
Don't forget to pick up your tickets here if you want to queue jump until midnight, as well as receive a free J-Bomb.
See you there, for some #1 Party Anthems.
Iconic as it is ironic - Secret Discotheque is the night that everyone in Brighton hates to love. It has a particular charm to it, we're scared to give the people what you want (what you really really want) and do it with pride! Read more...
There's been a lot of change around here recently, and although we think the change is certainly for the best, some things will never change. Fat Poppadaddys being one of them! Read more...
