Pete Moore
Very shortly after it’s inception, Pete Moore joined Fat Poppadaddys after pestering founder Christian Mayne at his residencies in Cambridge.
A DJ (at least in his bedroom) from the age of 14, he quickly moved from playing Jungle (booyaka!) and Drum & Bass into more funky styles. Stevie Wonder & James Brown became staples of his musical diet, quickly moving on to Brazilian and 60’s Jazz.
The eclectic style of Fat Poppadaddys turned him back on to Indie and it soon started creeping into his DJ sets.
Expect to hear a raft of funk, 60’s soul, reggae, indie, hip hop, drum & bass, electro, brass band versions of big tunes and curveballs that’ll have you saying “I remember that!”, before throwing some mad shapes on the dancefloor… no chin scratching!
You can catch Pete DJing every Monday night at Fez Club, Cambridge, every Saturday at La Raza, Cambridge and at various other Fat Poppadaddys events around the UK.
